Established in 1996, BOSS Sikhi Camp is a 6-day Sikh retreat designed for young adults and seekers wanting to learn about Sikhism, Sikh spirituality, and the Sikh way of life.

The camp offers a unique Sikh learning experience through meditation, Sikh philosophy lectures in English, group discussions, and outdoor activities. It’s an opportunity to connect with Sikhi history and heritage, deepen your spiritual understanding, and experience Seva (selfless service).

BOSS Sikhi Camp is open to everyone, regardless of background or experience. No prior knowledge of Sikhism is required, and you don’t need to be Amritdhari or Panjabi—just bring an open mind and a willingness to explore Sikh spirituality.

BOSS Sikhi Camp is organised by the British Organisation of Sikh Students (BOSS), a not-for-profit community group supporting young Sikhs across the UK for over 35 years. This makes us one of the longest running Sikhi organisations in the UK.

The camp is run entirely by volunteers who are passionate about creating a meaningful Sikh retreat experience. No one is paid a wage, and all camp fees and donations go directly towards running the camp—even our volunteers pay the full amount to attend!

This depends on what you want from camp. Some people come away with memories of a good week spent unwinding whilst gaining spiritual knowledge & making new friends. Others (the majority) look back at it as being a major milestone in their life which changed their purpose and direction of living. We strive to get you to the latter!

Intention, vibration and affirmations can all play key roles so we ask you to arrive with excited anticipation and an open mind as you watch miracles unfold and your personal and spiritual growth soar!

The location is not disclosed unless you have been successful in securing a place at Sikhi Camp. This adds to the suspense and also keeps us safe. What we can say is that it will be away from city life in a breathtaking location near the coast of North Wales. We will be based at a residential and outdoor education centre that specialises in accommodating large faith groups etc, so you won’t need your tent! More information can be provided on request - just get in touch and we can have a chat.

Transport is provided in the fee that you pay for BOSS Camp (yes that’s insane!) Coaches/minibuses will be at various pick-up points across the UK. They usually include Birmingham, Leicester, Southall, East London, Manchester and Leeds. However, these can change depending on the majority of applicants’ locations. You will be notified of the final pick-up points a few weeks before the start of camp and at registration you will have an opportunity to select the most suitable pick-up point for yourself.

If you are flying in from outside of the UK then we would recommend you fly into Manchester (MAN), Birmingham (BHX), or Heathrow (LHW) (in that order of preference) so you can make your way to the closest coach checkpoints.

Due to the site health and safety policy, we would prefer that attendees do not bring their own vehicles, but please get in touch to discuss if you believe this is required.

We partner with specialist centres that are experienced in hosting large groups, ensuring a comfortable and well-equipped stay.

🏡 Accommodation consists of small to medium-sized dormitories (2–20 people) with nearby bathrooms. A very limited number of single rooms may be available for medical or accessibility reasons.

💛 Dorm life is a key part of the camp experience! Many friendships are formed in these shared spaces. You can request to be grouped with friends, but if you're coming alone, we promise you’ll feel at home in no time!

🚻 Sleeping arrangements are strictly gender-separated.

On average there will be around 400 people on site. This is a mix of attendees, volunteers and their families.

With Guru Ji’s Kirpa, BOSS Sikhi Camp is one of the most established, longest and largest Sikh camps in the world.

Absolutely! BOSS Sikhi Camp is all about inclusivity, love, and acceptance. 💛

🔹 70% of attendees are first-timers, many coming alone—but that never lasts long! You’ll be surrounded by like-minded people and will make friends in no time.

🔹 Everyone is welcome, regardless of background, race, or ethnicity. Attendees range in age from 16 to 80+, creating a truly diverse and enriching experience.

Feeling a little nervous is completely normal, but rest assured—you won’t be alone. By the end of camp, you’ll have friendships and unforgettable memories!

The mornings will incorporate meditation, breakfast, thought-provoking lectures, group discussions and workshops, and Q&A sessions. After lunch, there are a host of activities such as water sports, hiking, football, beach trips, yoga and art workshops. The evenings typically involve a Kirtan Darbar (meditation session) and sometimes an informal evening talk or presentation. The days are long but the most spiritually fulfilling moments you will experience.

We know that good food makes a great camp experience! At BOSS Sikhi Camp, you’ll enjoy three delicious meals a day, plus plenty of snacks—so no, you won’t go hungry!

Our expert volunteers lovingly prepare Langar, following the Sikh tradition of a Lacto-vegetarian diet (no meat, fish, or eggs). However, your personal diet choice will not affect your application, so don’t let this hold you back! Even if you’re new to a vegetarian diet, we encourage you to give it a go—you might be surprised at how much you enjoy it!

Our menu includes a mix of traditional Panjabi and Western dishes, such as:

🍰 Kheer, Cake, and more!

We also cater for special dietary needs—just let us know your requirements on your application form.

Attending a week-long, all-inclusive Sikh retreat during peak summer in the UK would typically cost around £500 per person. However, thanks to year-round fundraising, we subsidise the cost so attendees pay just £199.

We also offer student discounts and early bird pricing, so be sure to apply early!

Every effort will be made to ensure incidents do not occur, however, BOSS Sikhi Camp cannot accept liability for any injury incurred as a result of an incident. Any concerned person is advised to take out adequate personal insurance for the duration of the Sikhi Camp.

To maintain a respectful and positive environment, we ask all participants to agree to a few camp rules, such as no cigarettes, alcohol, or drugs on site. Full details will be provided in your welcome pack upon acceptance.

How to Apply:

2️⃣ Make your payment securely via Stripe, a trusted online payment provider. A small transaction fee applies, but this ensures a safe and secure process.
3️⃣ Receive an email confirmation once your application is submitted.
4️⃣ The BOSS Camp admin team will review applications and notify you within 14 working days if you’ve been accepted.

We’re sorry to hear you can’t make it! The BOSS Sikhi Camp team regret to say that they cannot offer a refund if you are unable to attend or have changed your mind. Under exceptional circumstances, we may be able to offer you a partial refund. Please contact admin@sikhicamp.org if you think this may be the case. Please do let us know straight away if you are unable to attend so we can offer your place to someone on our waiting list.

Due to the nature of the booking process, strictly no refunds are available if you cancel four weeks before the start of camp.

1. Application Requirements

   All fields marked with an asterisk (*) must be completed with accurate information.
   Applications will not be accepted without a valid proof of ID (passport or driving license) and a recent photo of the applicant. Please have these to hand when you begin your application. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older by 20th July 2025.

   2. Application Approval

   All applications are pending approval. If your application is successful, you will receive a confirmation email. Please add admin@sikhicamp.org to your safe list to prevent the email from going to spam/junk.
   Providing false or misleading information will result in rejection. The admissions team reserve the right to refuse any application at any time. 

   3. Payments

   The cost for BOSS Sikhi Camp 2024 is £199 per person. (Early bird/ discount of £179 until 1st May 2025). 

   BOSS Sikhi Camp operates a no-refund policy. Refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the admissions team. No refunds will be issued within four weeks of camp.
   If you would like to attend but are experiencing financial difficulties, please get in touch to discuss support options.
   If you wish to pay by bank transfer, submit your application without entering card details, then email admin@sikhicamp.org to request bank transfer instructions.

   4. Data Protection & Security

   •  The information you provide will be stored securely and will not be shared with third parties. Our online form is hosted on a secure platform used by companies like Amazon and Microsoft. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
